Some Animal Examples
Puss in Boots:
Information in Readings combines metaphor and literal.
I was once asked to do a Reading of a cat. I had never met the
cat, or the cat's person. As I started the Reading, the image
I saw was a cat dressed as a pirate version of Puss in Boots
looking out a big picture window. I could hear the cat muttering
to himself, "Here I am having one of my kitty adventures.
I look out the window and imagine all sorts of wonderful things.
Then my person comes along and starts bothering me. Doesn't she
get a clue when I turn my back on her and go back to looking
out the window? Nooo. She pesters me some more. I move away from
her. I am busy! Just look out there at all that is going on.
I am involved. Does she get the message now? Nooo. She picks
me up and gets all in my face. Well, what choice do I have but
to bite her? I tried everything else. She wouldn't get it, so
I had to bite her!
I asked the person who called for the Reading whether there
was a problem with biting. Yes, that is why I was called. If
the cat didn't stop biting, the person was going to have to give
him away. Readings should never be used instead of sensible animal
training and care practises. In this case, the cat owner was
told to be more sensitive to the cat's communications. If she
approached him and he came to her, great, it is a time for interaction.
If he turned his back or walked away, he doesn't want to connect
at that time. Sounds like basic common sense, but sometimes in
our deep love for our animal friends, we can forget that they
are people too and need to communicated WITH. This was a great
use of a Reading. It gave the cat owner information that helped
her to live happily with her animal friend.
Dog Sitter:
I was called by a woman who was taking care of a friend's
dog. She walked him 3 times a day, allowed him to sleep on the
bed at night and took him in the car when she went on errands.
She followed all of the suggestions from the owners, and the
dog still moped around and wouldn't eat. Sometimes this is just
how it is when a person is away. With a Reading, we asked the
dog what was up. What I found was that the dog felt all the things
being done were fine, but, she really wanted to be told that
she is "The most wonderful and beautiful dog." When
I repeated this to the dog sitter, she replied, "That is
exactly how the owner talks to her!"
Big Beautiful Horse:
Horses are big, smart wonderful animals. They have complex
emotional issues and very practical physical ones. A horse owner
called me for information on how the horse had gotten a fairly
deep cut on his shoulder. Did the cut come from rolling in the
pasture and hitting a rock, or rubbing against something sharp
in the barn? I asked in the Records of the horse to be shown
what had happened. I saw him rubbing against metal on a post
as he was trying to open the gate to escape from his pasture.
This guy was a great escape artist. With this information, the
owners were able to find a protruding nail that they had overlooked.
Psychic Readings can help a person gain understanding of
their animal companion's needs and communications. A Reading
should never be used in place of veterinary help or behavior
specialists. However, they can be used to help a person decide
if these consultations are needed. A Reading can also facilitate
communication and understanding between owners and their animal
friends.
